Life of insoles depends on material and usage
The life of insoles needs to be determined based on material type and usage scenario. The use cycles of insoles of different materials vary significantly:
Life of ordinary insoles (reference):
EVA foam: cushioning performance decreases by 40% after 3 months, it is recommended to replace it every 3-6 months
Memory foam: service life is about 6-8 months, due to support attenuation, it needs to be replaced in time
Silicone: strong durability, service life can reach more than 2 years
Latex: natural materials are prone to aging, it is recommended to replace it every year
Customized insoles (such as orthopedic insoles): average use period 1- 2 years, support needs to be evaluated regularly
Lifespan of heating insoles (reference):
Chemical heating type: one-time use (8-12 hours), non-reusable
Physical heating type (graphene/carbon fiber): theoretically reusable, but heating efficiency decreases by 40% after 30 days of continuous use, and the capacity of the built-in battery decays by more than 60% after 200 charge and discharge cycles
Replacement criteria:
Functional decay (decreased cushioning and support) orsurface wear (such as disappearance of anti-slip patterns)
Deterioration of hygiene conditions: If the insole has not been replaced for more than 6 months, the risk of bacterial growth increases significantly, and it is recommended to replace ordinary insoles every quarter
