Insole size should be selected based on foot length, shoe type and purpose. The common insole length and shoe size correspondence is: 24cm for size 38, 24.5cm for size 39, 25cm for size 40, 25.5cm for size 41, and 26cm for size 42. Special shoe types (such as sandals and height-increasing insoles) require additional size adjustment.
Conventional insole size standard
Shoe size and insole length comparison (taking cloth shoes as an example):
24cm for size 38
24.5cm for size 39
25cm for size 40
25cm for size 41
25.5cm for size 42
Please note that there may be deviations in the actual product. It is recommended to choose an insole that is 1cm longer than the foot.
Design principle:
The overall insole length is usually 104%~105% of the foot length. The front tip shrinks 3~4mm to ensure flatness, and 1mm is added around the heel to cover the structural gap.
Half-length insoles (60%~65% of foot length) and large heel pads (38%~39% of foot length) are suitable for specific shoe types such as tongue-style shoes or elastic-mouth shoes.
Insole size for special shoe types
Increase insoles:
2~3cm increase insoles are suitable for low-top sports shoes, 3~3.5cm need to be matched with mid-high top shoes to keep invisible.
Full-length insoles need to be 1~2 sizes larger to avoid squeezing.
Sandal insoles:
The length of the full-length sandal insole is 90%~91% of the foot length, and the front tip is 20mm in.
The insole with inner sole needs to add 12mm of edging around the perimeter.
Purchase suggestions
Measure foot length: The length of the insole should be 0.5~1cm longer than the foot length.
Material selection: Sponge pads are breathable and comfortable, TPR pads are prone to stinky feet, and GEL pads are wear-resistant but expensive.
